In appetite stimulant

Cylip P Syrup is a combination of medicines that increases hunger by constantly increasing the energy requirements of an individual. It promotes the desire to eat and therefore, it is a safe and effective way of managing undernutrition or malnutrition. It helps to treat loss of appetite and improves the nutritional status.

How it works

Cylip P Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol, which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
