Doxomax XP Tablet

Doxomax XP Tablet is used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lungs is blocked). It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages and making it easier to breathe. Doxomax XP Tablet also thins and loosens mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs making it easier to cough out. It is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, stomach upset, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, irritability, insomnia, and increased heart rate. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Doxomax XP Tablet is a combination of two medicines:.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Doxomax XP Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Doxomax XP Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

• Increased respiratory rate

Doxomax XP Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

DrivingCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Doxomax XP Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

KidneyCAUTION

Doxomax XP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Doxomax XP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

LiverCAUTION

Doxomax XP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Doxomax XP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Doxomax XP Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
