Uses
- Pain due to muscle spasm
Benefits
In pain due to muscle spasm
Lorchek-MR Gel treats pain due to muscle spasm by creating a cooling-warming effect. It works by causing the skin to feel cool and then warm. These feelings on the skin distract you from feeling the pain in your muscles and joints. It also relaxes stiff muscles and helps in easy movement. Altogether, it will help you do your daily activities without much problem. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area no more than 3 to 4 times a day and rub in gently and thoroughly. Along with medications, you can also do some light exercises or take physical therapy to get relief from pain.
How it works
Lorchek-MR Gel is a combination of three medicines: Lornoxicam, Methyl Salicylate and Thiocolchicoside which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Lornoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Methyl Salicylate is a topical analgesic (pain reliever). It works by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action distracts from the feeling of pain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.
