Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR

Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasm. It improves the movement of muscles and provide relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms. Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. It can be taken with or without food. You should take it strictly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor. This medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and indigestion. If you experienced any such side effects that do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent them. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

• Pain due to muscle spasm

Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR is a combination of two medicines: Lornoxicam and Thiocolchicoside which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Lornoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR.

PregnancyCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

LiverCAUTION

Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Lorsumo 8mg/8mg Tablet MR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
