Nefrosave Tablet

Nefrosave Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease. It protects the kidneys from damage and reduces the risk of kidney failure. Nefrosave Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, fever, runny nose, diarrhea, abdominal pain, skin irritation and rashes, and throat irritation. These are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

Nefrosave Tablet is a combination of two antioxidants: Taurine and Acetylcysteine. These antioxidants work by protecting the kidneys from damage by harmful chemical (free radicals).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nefrosave Tablet is to be taken with food.

Nefrosave Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feedingCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Nefrosave Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

DrivingCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Nefrosave Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

KidneySAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Nefrosave Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Nefrosave Tablet is recommended.

LiverCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

There is limited information available on the use of Nefrosave Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Nefrosave Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
