Otek-AC Neo Ear Drop is a combination medicine that is used to treat ear pain. It numbs the pain that occurs with ear infections caused by bacteria. This way it relieves the symptoms of inflammation such as pain, itchiness, and irritation. Otek-AC Neo Ear Drop is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine must be applied only to the affected ear. Use for as long as the doctor has prescribed. Wash your hands before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. Generally, this is a safe medicine. However, it may cause mild and temporary irritation in the ear. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worry you. You should use this medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms disappear, otherwise they may come back.
How it works
Otek-AC Neo Ear Drop is a combination of two medicines: Benzocaine and Chloramphenicol. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
How to use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside ear.
