Povirobes Ointment has a combination of medicines that is used to treat wound infections. It kills and prevents the growth of microorganisms causing infections. Povirobes Ointment should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. It is for external use only. Do not use this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you have known allergies from this medicine. The common side effects of this medicine include irritation at the application site. Povirobes Ointment is an antiseptic that is used for the treatment and prevention of wound infection. It may be used in first aid for minor cuts, burns, abrasions, ulcers and blisters. It kills and prevents the growth of infection-causing microbes as well as helps in wound healing. Keep the affected area clean and use the medicine as prescribed by your doctor for better results.
How it works
Povirobes Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Povidone Iodine and Ornidazole. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic applied on skin which is infected or is likely to get infected. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA.
How to use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Povirobes Ointment, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
