Tapal P Tablet

Tapal P Tablet is a pain relieving medicine. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain in various conditions such as muscle pain, joint pain, menstrual cramps, and toothache. It is also used for treatment of fever, headache, and post-surgery related pains. Tapal P Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor may change the dose and time between doses according to your pain level and your needs. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, sleepiness, vomiting, and dizziness. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent them by prescribing you an alternative medicine or by adjusting the dose. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Tapal P Tablet is a combination of two medicines: tapentadol and paracetamol which relieve pain.\tTapentadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tapal P Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Tapal P Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Tapal P Tablet, then do not drive.

KidneyCAUTION

Tapal P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tapal P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, Tapal P Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.

LiverCAUTION

Tapal P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tapal P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Tapal P Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Tapal P Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
