Trufol Tablet

Trufol Tablet contains L-Methylfolate, a form of folic acid. L-Methylfolate is used for dietary management of low blood cell folate level in certain patients. Folic Acid is helpful to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs) and birth defects such as spina bifida and anencephaly by as much as 70 percent if taken at least 1 month before pregnancy.

• Folate plays an essential role in the production of red blood cells, and its deficiency can lead to anaemia
• Folic acid is an essential nutrient necessary for the formation of healthy red blood cells and can prevent neural tube defects in children during pregnancy and promotes cell growth
• Folic acid is essential to numerous bodily functions ranging from nucleotide biosynthesis to the remethylation of homocysteine. It is important during periods of rapid cell division and growth. Both children and adults require folic acid to produce healthy red blood cells and prevent anaemia
• L-methylfolate is also helpful to lower levels of homocysteine - an amino acid linked to cardiovascular issues and more importantly, pregnancy complications.
