ZyrCold Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough. It relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and congestion or stiffness. It also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. ZyrCold Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are stomach upset, dryness in mouth, fatigue, sedation, and allergic reaction. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney and liver diseases. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

ZyrCold Tablet is a combination of two medicines:.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ZyrCold Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

AlcoholUNSAFE

ZyrCold Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

PregnancyCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

ZyrCold Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feedingUNSAFE

ZyrCold Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

DrivingCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether ZyrCold Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

KidneyCAUTION

ZyrCold Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of ZyrCold Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

LiverSAFE IF PRESCRIBED

ZyrCold Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of ZyrCold Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of ZyrCold Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
